Privacy Policy

This policy describes what SteltonIQ actually collects and does today. It assumes a US-based service and has not been reviewed by a lawyer for CCPA/CPRA or other jurisdiction-specific requirements — treat it as a factual description, not legal advice.

1. What we collect

Account information (name, email), profile data you provide (career stage, target role, location), and uploaded resumes. We do not currently run any analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.

2. How we use it

To diagnose skill gaps, match you with mentors and jobs, personalize your learning path, and improve the platform.

3. Third parties

We never sell your data. Two third-party services process data on our behalf: Supabase hosts our database, authentication, and resume file storage, and Google's Generative AI ("Gemini") API receives your resume text, target role/industry, and any job description you paste in, solely to generate your skill-gap analysis. We don't use a payment processor and don't collect billing information.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use one first-party functional cookie (sidebar_state) to remember whether a sidebar panel is open, which expires after 7 days and contains no personal data. Your signed-in session is kept in your browser's local storage, not a cookie. Neither is used for tracking or advertising.

5. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it by emailing privacy@steltoniq.com.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is gated by role-based controls.
